Well we are in our new place finally!! Its great just to know that we wont be moving again for awhile (God willing) and to have such a wonderful place!! The kitties have adjusted well and LOVE hanging out in the little back yard and hunting in the ground cover for bugs :) they are in kittie heaven..
The weather here is GREAT!! It really gets chilly in the evenings, especially by the ocean so our best advice for anyone visiting- bring a light jacket and a pair of jeans (crazy that you need those in summer) you will REALLY use them. Every day it averages about 75-78 degrees and we have yet to turn on our AC, in fact most houses dont even have it because of the nice breeze, especially if you live by the ocean.
We are still surrounded by boxes and the house is a little bit of a disaster but its slowly improving and Brett and Scott (Bretts brother in law who is stationed at Camp Pendleton) have been a HUGE help moving boxes and heavy furniture for me. I was able to make a nice little dinner for them a couple nights ago just to say thank you and they REALLY enjoyed it (scott said its nice to have food :) ), Sherrie (bretts mom) gave me a recipe for DEATH BY CHOCOLATE -Bayer style and it was DELICIOUS!!! The boys ate half the bowl the first meal!! If you want the recipe let me know and I will send it, its definately worth having.
Brett surprised me the first day in the new house with 3 long stem roses (1 for me, 1 for him, 1 for our little angel), they were beautiful!! He is part of the SRO class and works really hard at the plant every day, in fact today is Saturday but hes there to take a stress test- they work him hard but hes doing REALLY well, he passed his first test this Friday which was AWESOME because he was 2 weeks behind joining the class.
I better head back up to unpacking boxes and organizing closets :) Hope you all are doing well!!!
LOVE you, miss you and cant wait for a visit!!
