Whew!
It has been too long since we updated so here you go!!
The house:
We are ALL moved in to our nice little townhome :) we love it and are happy to be unpacked and just settling in right now. We had our FIRST official visitors! Bing, Sherrie and Ryan flew down last week to spend a few days visiting us and Scott, I hope to post some pictures once Bing "facebooks" them, we didnt get any pictures but he took plenty so we are looking forward to seeing them and will share them here. It was nice to spend time with the Bayer family, Scott and Ryan are so fun and CRAZY when they get together, it was a real family atmosphere- lots of cribbage, games, laughing, inflatable beds collapsing, food, and adventures. While they were here Bing, Sherrie and Ryan got to see where Scott works on Camp Pendleton and drove past where Brett works (the security level is so high we cant go on the plant to visit). They also got to go to the San Diego Zoo, eat on the pier with the WHOLE group, see the ocean, see the BABY via ultrasound, celebrate my birthday, go to a farmers market/fair in downtown Oceanside, and we all got to go to a Padres game which was a blast!!! Sherrie and I shared baby stuff, she gave me tons of good advice and the boys watched the game.
I hope to post some pics of the new house so you can see the "work in progress" as Brett and I decorate :) (he's excited... really.. lol)
Some discouraging news on the Memphis home front, it turns the roofers who installed the new roof failed to correctly install the flashing which caused about 50-60,000$ of water damage!! YIKES!! Thankfully Brett has a great homeowners insurance policy and they started demolition last week and will finish this week. They hope to have an estimate of the damage total value by the end of next week and then we choose our contractor :). They think the repairs may take about 4-5 months and then we hope to place the house on the market- big prayers on this front!! God has been SO good to bless us with a great insurance company and protect us from some of the stress.
The BABY!!
We have a NAME and it is......................
hahaha SORRY!!! No name release yet :) We are keeping it secret until her big day and then will announce it to everyone! We want to keep you all on the edge of your seats, that, and it MAY change..
Some hints:
1. Its female... lol.. cause its a GIRL!
2. Its VERY rare- so prepare yourself if you wanted a traditional name :) its very pretty
3. Its not after any family member (although her middle name will probably be Arlene after me, my mom and my grandma- 4th Gen Arlene!!)
4. You probably wouldnt ever EVER guess it and probably dont know anyone with this name, its one of the rarest names in the book! lol :)
She seems to be doing great!!! At the ultrasound last they estimated her weight at 3 pounds 2 ounces!! WOW!!!
Prayer- MONDAY Aug 17 I go in for a Fetal Echocardiogram to check her heart to make sure she doesnt have Tetraology of the Fallot (blue baby syndrome like my niece Chloe). They checked her out but want to do a follow up to make sure. Also her stomach seemed a little big to them so they will check that too (they MUST not know her Dad and how he can eat :) ) I will post an update so everyone will know.
Other than that shes been kickin and movin!! Her Daddy thinks she likes kickboxing and I probably have to agree! Grammy Bayer put up the border in her nursery while she was here and it looks great... slowly its starting to look like a babys room!
Grandma Myers flys in SEPTEMBER 5th!! The due date has been moved up to Oct 18 so she wanted to make sure she will be here extra early and we are REALLY excited to have her here!
US:
Brett likes his new job and has been doing really well on his tests, he's working hard and learning alot, so far he's enjoying all the new challenges. September 9th is his BIG test for the first quarter so we will be praying extra hard that day!! He loves the hammock in the little back yard (and I do mean little), playing with the kitties.
Me: getting unpacked was a challenge but is mostly over now. Ive be struggling with some kidneys issues and unfortunately have had a UTI for about a month and a half now, thankfully I believe I have a good set of Doctors now who care about me and the baby. Our OB is Dr. Zaid and she is FANTASTIC!! Really gives us attention and follows up on problems that we have (which thankfully are few). The baby is getting big so sleeping is harder, lol, along with walking, breathing, eating.. lol... really I think the anticipation of her coming is the hardest part- we are SO excited to meet her and see what she looks like!!
The kidney thing hopefully will be resolved soon.. I will keep you all updated!!
We found a church we really like called North Coast and are getting plugged in :)
WOW!! I will try to update more so it wont be so long next time!! :) Look for pictures sometime soon hopefully!!
Love you all! Come visit!! Let us know your prayer requests as well and THANK you for all your prayers!!
Love
Brett, Michelle and.............
